Currently, `Tag#topic_count` is a count of all regular topics regardless of whether the topic is in a read restricted category or not. As a result, any users can technically poll a sensitive tag to determine if a new topic is created in a category which the user has not excess to. We classify this as a minor leak in sensitive information.
The following changes are introduced in this commit:
1. Introduce `Tag#public_topic_count` which only count topics which have been tagged with a given tag in public categories.
2. Rename `Tag#topic_count` to `Tag#staff_topic_count` which counts the same way as `Tag#topic_count`. In other words, it counts all topics tagged with a given tag regardless of the category the topic is in. The rename is also done so that we indicate that this column contains sensitive information.
3. Change all previous spots which relied on `Topic#topic_count` to rely on `Tag.topic_column_count(guardian)` which will return the right "topic count" column to use based on the current scope.
4. Introduce `SiteSetting.include_secure_categories_in_tag_counts` site setting to allow site administrators to always display the tag topics count using `Tag#staff_topic_count` instead.
Specifying wildcard characters which also happen to be regex
meta characters for `auto_approve_email_domains`, `allowed_email_domains`
and `blocked_email_domains` site settings currently breaks email
validation.
This change prevents these characters from being specified for these
site settings. It does this by switching the site setting type
from `list` to `host_list`. The `host_list` validator checks for these
characters.
In addition, this change also improves the site setting descriptions and
introduces a migration to fix existing records.
The `enable_new_notifications_menu` site setting allows sites that have
`navigation_menu` set to `legacy` to use the redesigned notifications
menu before switching to the new sidebar navigation menu.

Group names will be used as CSS classes in some components while rendering the public HTML output. It will happen when a group is set as the default primary for users. Or when a group has either a flair icon or flair upload. So we should warn the admins when they restrict the group's visibility level.

The admin settings for contact email and contact url did not explicitly indicate that they are visible to anons on /about page, and that when present the contact url replaces the contact email address. This change makes it so.

Currently, users with active push subscriptions get push notifications
regardless of their "presence" on the site.
This change introduces a `push_notification_time_window_mins`
site setting which is used in conjunction with a user's `last_seen_at` to
determine if push notifications should be sent. A user is considered to
be actively online if their `last_seen_at` is within `push_notification_time_window_mins`
minutes. `push_notification_time_window_mins` is set to 10 by default.

We decided to rename the "Do Not Disturb" mode to "Pause Notifications". I am starting from changing strings on the client, that will update user interface. And I'm going to do renamings in frontend and backend code after some time.
This PR adds a new "Pause notifications" checkbox to the user status modal. This checkbox allows enabling the Do-Not-Disturb mode together with user status. Note that we don't remove and don't rename the existing DnD menu item in this PR, so the old way of entering the DnD mode is still available.
Also, we're not making DnD mode a part of user status on backend and in database. The reason is that the DnD mode should still be available on sites with disabled user status, having them separated helps keep the implementation simple.

We were changing the user's user_option.bookmark_auto_delete_preference
to whatever they changed it to in the bookmark modal to use as default
for future bookmarks. However this was leading to a lot of confusion
since if you wanted to set it for one bookmark you had to remember to
change it back on the next one.
This commit removes that automatic functionality, and instead moves
the bookmark auto delete preference to User Preferences > Interface
in an explicit dropdown.
This commit adds a new notification that gets sent to admins when the site gets new features after an upgrade/deploy. Clicking on the notification takes the admin to the admin dashboard at `/admin` where they can see the new features under the "New Features" section.

A translator noted that this string is odd: "We'll email you immediately
if you haven't read the thing we're emailing you about." We show this
note in the user profile when the user has chosen to be emailed "only
when away" and the site has `email_time_window_mins` off. The message
essentially says that "only when away" in this particular site's config
means "Always".
I think it is best to show no description here. In an ideal world, the
"Only when away" option shouldn't be there when `email_time_window_mins`
is off. But it is rare to choose that override, and adding proper support
for that use case would be complicated.

In this PR, we introduced an option, that when all authenticators are disabled, but backup codes still exists, user can authenticate with those backup codes. This was reverted as this is not expected behavior.

It used to fail without displaying an error message if no upload
extensions were authorized. This also disables the button in the
first place to avoid displaying an error to the user (the error
will be displayed only when drag and dropping a file).
Adds stats for API and user API requests similar to regular page views.
This comes with a new report to visualize API requests per day like the
consolidated page views one.
This adds API scope for the user status. This also adds a get method to the user status controller. We didn't need a dedicated method that returns status before because the server returns status with user objects, but I think we need to provide this method for API clients.

Trying out changes to reduce the number of nav items in the experimental horizontal user nav. These changes should only appear with the redesigned_user_page_nav_enabled feature flag.
1. Created a new "Tracking" route. This combines some tracking-related settings from Notifications and Category and Tag tracking (which were separate tabs previously). Don't love the layout yet, but it's something that we can work on.
2. Moved some user-related settings out of Notifications and to the
Users tab. These seem more user-related to me, and it's nice that we can
associate enabling messages with the setting to limit who can send
messages.
3. Moved the App tab (lists app permissions) to be within the Security tab. It's very similar to Recently Used Devices.
When opening the invite acceptance page when the user
was already logged in, we were still showing the Accept
Invitation prompt even if the user had already redeemed
the invitation and was present in the `InvitedUser` table.
This would lead to errors when the user clicked on the button.
This commit fixes the issue by hiding the Accept Invitation
button and showing an error message instead indicating that
the user had already redeemed the invitation. This only applies
to multi-use invite links.

This commit automatically ensures that category channels
have slugs when they are created or updated based on the
channel name, category name, or existing slug. The behaviour
has been copied from the Category model.
We also include a backfill here with a simplified version
of Slug.for with deduplication to fill the slugs for already
created Category chat channels.
The channel slug is also now used for chat notifications,
and for the UI and navigation for chat. `slugifyChannel`
is still used, but now does the following fallback:
* Uses channel.slug if it is present
* Uses channel.escapedTitle if it is present
* Uses channel.title if it is present
In future we may want to remove this altogether
and always rely on the slug being present, but this
is currently not possible because we are not generating
slugs for DM channels at this point.
Previously if a specific plugin route was not available (e.g. there was an error loading the plugin's JS due to an ad blocker), the entire page would fail to load. This commit updates the behavior to catch this kind of issue and display a user-friendly message at the top of the screen.
Previously, we didn't have a site-wide setting to set the default behavior for user profile visibility and user presence features. But we already have a user preference for that.
This updates the behavior of the list destination setting for links in the sidebar.
By default, new/unread content will show a dot like chat, rather than the count of new/unread topics.
If a user chooses to link to new/unread in the sidebar, we'll show the count.
The goal here is to find a simple default for typical users (new/unread indication, no counts, default links) while providing a different workflow for power users (showing new/unread counts, and linking directly to new/unread).

Our dialog service doesn't accept HTML by default and we shouldn't include HTML in the error message string. And given that the Ajax error handler is called in multiple contexts, it's tricky to properly support line breaks via either HTML or `\n` so we are opting for plain text in AJAX error messages.
Given that the category structure is generally speaking the backbone of most Discourse instances, it makes sense to show the edit button for the category even when the user is in a category/tag intersection route.
This view can show multiple posts from the same topic and the aria labels
will now include the post number to more easily differentiate posts in
screen readers.
Previously, compiling theme 'extra_js' was done with a number of steps. Each theme_field would be compiled into its own value_baked column, and then the JavascriptCache content would be built by concatenating all of those compiled values.
This commit streamlines things by removing the value_baked step. The raw value of all extra_js theme_fields are passed directly to the ThemeJavascriptCompiler, and then the result is stored in the JavascriptCache.
In itself, this commit should not cause any behavior change. It is designed to open the door to more advanced compilation features which have interdependencies between different source files (e.g. template colocation, sourcemaps).
Displays a sidebar section link to admin users when
`default_sidebar_categories` site setting has not been configured for the
site.

The previous implementation would attempt to fetch groups using the end-user's Google auth token. This only worked for admin accounts, or users with 'delegated' access to the `admin.directory.group.readonly` API.
This commit changes the approach to use a single 'service account' for fetching the groups. This removes the need to add permissions to all regular user accounts. I'll be updating the [meta docs](https://meta.discourse.org/t/226850) with instructions on setting up the service account.
This is technically a breaking change in behavior, but the existing implementation was marked experimental, and is currently unusable in production google workspace environments.
This commit introduces a new framework for building user tutorials as
popups using the Tippy JS library. Currently, the new framework is used
to replace the old notification spotlight and tips and show a new one
related to the topic timeline.
All popups follow the same structure and have a title, a description and
two buttons for either dismissing just the current tip or all of them
at once.
The state of all seen popups is stored in a user option. Updating
skip_new_user_tips will automatically update the list of seen popups
accordingly.
This commit adds more helpful/education messages that show up in the replies and "other notifications" tabs when they're empty. Internal topic: t/76879.
This can no longer be used from the user interface and could be used to
generate useless topic invites notifications. This commit adds site
setting max_topic_invitations_per_minute to prevent invite spam.
Adds a new upload field for a second dark mode category logo.
This alternative will be used when the browser is in dark mode (similar to the global site setting for a dark logo).
Skipped invites were not counted at all and some invites could generate
more than one error and resulted in a grand total that was not equal to
the count of bulk invites.
By default, only staff members have to confirm their old email when
changing it. This commit adds a site setting that when enabled will
always ask the user to confirm old email.
This commit renames all secure_media related settings to secure_uploads_* along with the associated functionality.
This is being done because "media" does not really cover it, we aren't just doing this for images and videos etc. but for all uploads in the site.
Additionally, in future we want to secure more types of uploads, and enable a kind of "mixed mode" where some uploads are secure and some are not, so keeping media in the name is just confusing.
This also keeps compatibility with the `secure-media-uploads` path, and changes new
secure URLs to be `secure-uploads`.

When there are pending reviewables, the review section link is displayed
in the main section. When there are no pending reviewables, the review
section link is displayed under the more links drawer.

When a user creates a PM and adds a recipient that hasn't been seen in a
long time then we'll now show a warning in composer indicating that the
user hasn't been seen in a long time.
This will replace `enable_personal_messages` and
`min_trust_to_send_messages`, this commit introduces
the setting `personal_message_enabled_groups`
and uses it in all places that `enable_personal_messages`
and `min_trust_to_send_messages` currently apply.
A migration is included to set `personal_message_enabled_groups`
based on the following rules:
* If `enable_personal_messages` was false, then set
`personal_message_enabled_groups` to `3`, which is
the staff auto group
* If `min_trust_to_send_messages` is not default (1)
and the above condition is false, then set the
`personal_message_enabled_groups` setting to
the appropriate auto group based on the trust level
* Otherwise just set `personal_message_enabled_groups` to
11 which is the TL1 auto group
After follow-up PRs to plugins using these old settings, we will be
able to drop the old settings from core, in the meantime I've added
DEPRECATED notices to their descriptions and added them
to the deprecated site settings list.
This commit also introduces a `_map` shortcut method definition
for all `group_list` site settings, e.g. `SiteSetting.personal_message_enabled_groups`
also has `SiteSetting.personal_message_enabled_groups_map` available,
which automatically splits the setting by `|` and converts it into
an array of integers.
This commit includes various accessibility improvements for the new user menu:
* Add `title` attributes to the user menu tabs
* Properly label lists (by adding `aria-labelledby` to `<ul>` elements) for screen readers
* Change the user menu structure so that the tabs come before the content panel in the DOM, but use CSS to reverse them visually.
Normally, changing the order of elements via CSS is bad for accessibility, but I believe this is one of the rare scenarios where it [makes sense](https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Web/CSS/CSS_Flexible_Box_Layout/Ordering_Flex_Items#use_cases_for_order). Prior to this change, if you want to reach the first notification item after you select a tab using the keyboard, you have to hit <kbd>ctrl</kbd>+<kbd>tab</kbd> because the notifications list is before the tabs list. However, with this change, <kbd>tab</kbd> will move you to the first item in the list after you select a tab using your keyboard.
* Aria-hide the unread notifications badge/count on the tabs because the `title` attribute on the tab indicates the unread count.
* Add some tests.
The experimental user menu has a tab that displays recent reviewables and at the moment when a new signs up for the site and they need to be approved, admins see a very scary "suspicious user" copy in the reviewables tab in the user menu. We don't need the copy to be very scary because when a user needs to be approved, it's because the site operator has configured the site to force all new users to go through the review queue and it's not some kind of spam detector flagging the user.
The generate RSA key and import theme routes worked separate from each
other. The RSA key returned both the public and private key and it was
the frontend which posted the private key back to the server. With this
commit, only the public key is necessary as the server keeps a map of
public and private keys that is used to get the private key back from
a public key.

This adds a new framework for accessible dialogs that will eventually replace bootbox. Under the hood, it uses the a11y-dialog package and an in-repo Ember addon. See PR for usage details.

Previously, this would require manually adding `?safe_mode=...` multiple times during the email-based login flow. `/u/admin-login` is often used when debugging a site, so it makes sense for this to be easier.
This commit introduces a new checkbox on the `/u/admin-login` screen. When checked, it'll set the safe_mode parameter on the `/email-login` link, and then pass it all the way through to the homepage redirect.
- `no_custom` -> `no_themes` (history: before themes existed, we had a similar tool called 'customizations')
- `only_official` -> `no_unofficial_plugins` (matches format of `no_themes` and `no_plugins`, and makes it clear that this doesn't affect themes)
- `?safe_mode=no_themes%2C%no_plugins` -> `?safe_mode=no_themes,no_plugins` (the query portion of a URL does not require commas to be encoded. This is much nicer to read)

This commits makes the `enable_experimental_sidebar_hamburger` and
`enable_sidebar` site settings public for site admins to enable. While
the site settings are public, do note that the features are still under
heavy development and are subjected to rapid changes
A public key must be added to GitHub when installing private themes.
When the process happens asynchronously (for example if the admin does
not have admin permissions to the GitHub repository), installing
private themes becomes very difficult.
In this case, the Discourse admin can partially install the theme by
letting Discourse save the private key, create a placeholder theme and
give the admin a public key to be used as a deploy key. After the key
is installed, the admin can finish theme installation by pressing a
button on the theme page.

The bookmarks tab in the new user menu is different from the other tabs in that it can display a mixture of notifications and bookmarks. When there are unread bookmark reminder notifications, the tab displays all of these notifications at the top and fills the remaining space in the menu with the rest of the bookmarks. The bubble/badge count on the bookmarks tab indicates how many unread bookmark reminder notifications there are.
On the technical aspect, since this commit introduces a new `bookmark-item` component, we've done some refactoring so that all 3 "item" components (`notification-item`, `reviewable-item` and the new `bookmark-item`) inherit from a base component and get identical HTML structure so they all look consistent.

Improving the wording about daily like limits because there might be
some confusion around the word “daily”. This feature is really
just a 24 hour sliding window and has no concept of days.

Tags mixin is already filtering a lot of data from the user submitted filter in `createContentFromInput()` which can lead to sk receiving an empty filter while the input actually has a value.
When the experimental Sidebar is enabled, the hamburger drop down is replaced by a sidebar drop down. A user is given the ability to dock and undock the sidebar depending on their personal preference.
Do also note that the experimental sidebar is well, considered experimental at this point so I do not intend for the features here to be perfect. What I aim to do here is to ship the changes fast so that it can be used internally by the team to provide feedback. Custom links added by plugins and dark mode toggle has not been implemented as part of this commit as I aim to tackle it in another commit.

Before, whispers were only available for staff members.
Config has been changed to allow to configure privileged groups with access to whispers. Post migration was added to move from the old setting into the new one.
I considered having a boolean column `whisperer` on user model similar to `admin/moderator` for performance reason. Finally, I decided to keep looking for groups as queries are only done for current user and didn't notice any N+1 queries.
This PR introduces a new hidden site setting that allows admins to display a splash screen while site assets load.
The splash screen can be enabled via the `splash_screen` hidden site setting.

To control the loading text that shows in the splash screen, you can change the preloader_text translation string in admin > customize > text
At some point in the past we decided to rename the 'regular' notification state of topics/categories to 'normal'. However, some UI copy was missed when the initial renaming was done so this commit changes the spots that were missed to the new name.
This commit introduces a new site setting: `block_hotlinked_media`. When enabled, all attempts to hotlink media (images, videos, and audio) will fail, and be replaced with a linked placeholder. Exceptions to the rule can be added via `block_hotlinked_media_exceptions`.
`download_remote_image_to_local` can be used alongside this feature. In that case, hotlinked images will be blocked immediately when the post is created, but will then be replaced with the downloaded version a few seconds later.
This implementation is purely server-side, and does not impact the composer preview.
Technically, there are two stages to this feature:
1. `PrettyText.sanitize_hotlinked_media` is called during `PrettyText.cook`, and whenever new images are introduced by Onebox. It will iterate over all src/srcset attributes in the post HTML and check if they're allowed. If not, the attributes will be removed and replaced with a `data-blocked-hotlinked-src(set)` attribute
2. In the `CookedPostProcessor`, we iterate over all `data-blocked-hotlinked-src(set)` attributes and check whether we have a downloaded version of the media. If yes, we update the src to use the downloaded version. If not, the entire media element is replaced with a placeholder. The placeholder is labelled 'external media', and is a link to the offsite media.

metadata (see https://developer.twitter.com/en/docs/twitter-for-websites/cards/overview/markup)
so we should fall back to the site logo if the image option
provided to `crawlable_meta_data` or SiteSetting.site_twitter_summary_large_image_url
is an SVG, and do not add the meta tag for twitter:image at all
if the site logo is an SVG.
This improves the bookmark-icon title to be more like the
post bookmark icons, to include the special formatted date
as well as the name of the bookmark.

This commit adds a new site setting `block_onebox_on_redirect` (default off) for blocking oneboxes (full and inline) of URLs that redirect. Note that an initial http → https redirect is still allowed if the redirect location is identical to the source (minus the scheme of course). For example, if a user includes a link to `http://example.com/page` and the link resolves to `https://example.com/page`, then the link will onebox (assuming it can be oneboxed) even if the setting is enabled. The reason for this is a user may type out a URL (i.e. the URL is short and memorizable) with http and since a lot of sites support TLS with http traffic automatically redirected to https, so we should still allow the URL to onebox.
The title had to be added both on the 404 page generated by the server
side, displayed when the user reaches a bad page directly and the 404
page rendered by Ember when a user reaches a missing topic while
navigating the forum.
Currently the only way to allow tagging on pms is to use the `allow_staff_to_tag_pms` site setting. We are removing that site setting and replacing it with `pm_tags_allowed_for_groups` which will allow for non staff tagging. It will be group based permissions instead of requiring the user to be staff.
If the existing value of `allow_staff_to_tag_pms` is `true` then we include the `staff` groups as a default for `pm_tags_allowed_for_groups`.
Admins won't be able to disable strip_image_metadata if they don't
disable composer_media_optimization_image_enabled first since the later
will strip the same metadata on client during upload, making disabling
the former have no effect.

When an admin enters a badly formed regular expression in the
permalink_normalizations site setting, a RegexpError exception is
generated everytime a URL is normalized (see Permalink.normalize_url).
The new validator validates every regular expression present in the
setting value (delimited by '|').
This commit introduces a new site setting: `use_name_for_username_suggestions` (default true)
Admins can disable it if they want to stop using Name values when generating usernames for users. This can be useful if you want to keep real names private-by-default or, when used in conjunction with the `use_email_for_username_and_name_suggestions` setting, you would prefer to use email-based username suggestions.

This pull request follows on from https://github.com/discourse/discourse/pull/16308. This one does the following:
* Changes `BookmarkQuery` to allow for querying more than just Post and Topic bookmarkables
* Introduces a `Bookmark.register_bookmarkable` method which requires a model, serializer, fields and preload includes for searching. These registered `Bookmarkable` types are then used when validating new bookmarks, and also when determining which serializer to use for the bookmark list. The `Post` and `Topic` bookmarkables are registered by default.
* Adds new specific types for Post and Topic bookmark serializers along with preloading of associations in `UserBookmarkList`
* Changes to the user bookmark list template to allow for more generic bookmarkable types alongside the Post and Topic ones which need to display in a particular way
All of these changes are gated behind the `use_polymorphic_bookmarks` site setting, apart from the .hbs changes where I have updated the original `UserBookmarkSerializer` with some stub methods.
Following this PR will be several plugin PRs (for assign, chat, encrypt) that will register their own bookmarkable types or otherwise alter the bookmark serializers in their own way, also gated behind `use_polymorphic_bookmarks`.
This commit also removes `BookmarkQuery.preloaded_custom_fields` and the functionality surrounding it. It was added in 0cd502a558 but only used by one plugin (discourse-assign) where it has since been removed, and is now used by no plugins. We don't need it anymore.

to format durations in a medium format, similar to how durationTiny did.
The existent translation strings do not cover all cases and this commit
adds the missing translation strings.

Discourse has the Discourse Connect Provider protocol that makes it possible to
use a Discourse instance as an identity provider for external sites. As a
natural extension to this protocol, this PR adds a new feature that makes it
possible to use Discourse as a 2FA provider as well as an identity provider.
The rationale for this change is that it's very difficult to implement 2FA
support in a website and if you have multiple websites that need to have 2FA,
it's unrealistic to build and maintain a separate 2FA implementation for each
one. But with this change, you can piggyback on Discourse to take care of all
the 2FA details for you for as many sites as you wish.
To use Discourse as a 2FA provider, you'll need to follow this guide:
https://meta.discourse.org/t/-/32974. It walks you through what you need to
implement on your end/site and how to configure your Discourse instance. Once
you're done, there is only one additional thing you need to do which is to
include `require_2fa=true` in the payload that you send to Discourse.
When Discourse sees `require_2fa=true`, it'll prompt the user to confirm their
2FA using whatever methods they've enabled (TOTP or security keys), and once
they confirm they'll be redirected back to the return URL you've configured and
the payload will contain `confirmed_2fa=true`. If the user has no 2FA methods
enabled however, the payload will not contain `confirmed_2fa`, but it will
contain `no_2fa_methods=true`.
You'll need to be careful to re-run all the security checks and ensure the user
can still access the resource on your site after they return from Discourse.
This is very important because there's nothing that guarantees the user that
will come back from Discourse after they confirm 2FA is the same user that
you've redirected to Discourse.

* FEATURE: Let sites add a sitemap.xml file.
This PR adds the same features discourse-sitemap provides to core. Sitemaps are only added to the robots.txt file if the `enable_sitemap` setting is enabled and `login_required` disabled.
After merging discourse/discourse-sitemap#34, this change will take priority over the sitemap plugin because it will disable itself. We're also using the same sitemaps table, so our migration won't try to create it
again using `if_not_exists: true`.
This PR brings the `UppyUploadMixin` more into line with the `ComposerUppyUpload` mixin, by extending the `ExtendableUploader` . This also adds better tracking of and events for in progress uploads in the `UppyUploadMixin` for better UI interactions, and also opens up the use of `_useUploadPlugin` for the mixin, so anything implementing `UppyUploadMixin` can add extra uppy preprocessor plugins as needed.
This has been done as part of work on extracting uploads out of the chat composer. In future, we might be able to do the same for `ComposerUppyUpload`, getting rid of that mixin to standardise on `UppyUploadMixin` and have a separate `composer-uploads` component that lives alongside `composer-editor` like what we are doing in https://github.com/discourse/discourse-chat/pull/764
Previously we only supported a single 'required tag group' for a category. This commit allows admins to specify multiple required tag groups, each with their own minimum tag count.
A new category_required_tag_groups database table replaces the existing columns on the categories table. Data is automatically migrated.
Invited users were allowed to accept invites without entering a
password. When this happened, instead of receiving an activation email,
they received a password reset email. Basically, a user could postpone
choosing a password until after registration.
Unfortunately, this led to a confusing user experience and this commit
attempts to fix that by making the client require a password. There is
a single case when users do not need to input a password: when they sign
up using an external authenticator and password field is completely
hidden. In this case, the third party handles the password logic.
Technically, invites can still be redeemed without a password, but that
functionality was kept to preserve backwards compatibility.
Previous to this change if any of the assets were not allowed extensions
they would simply be silently ignored, this could lead to broken themes
that are very hard to debug
The changes are:
* Add an aria-label for the button that embeds/expand the replies of a
post below it
* Add an aria-label for the button that collapses the embedded replies
* Add an aria-label to describe the embedded replies section when
expanded and an aria-label for each embedded reply
The improvements are:
* Add an aria-label to the like/read count buttons below posts to
indicate what they mean and do.
* Add aria-pressed to the like/read count buttons to make it clear to screen
readers that these buttons are toggleable.
* Add an aria-label to the list of avatars that's shown when post likes
or readers are expanded so that screen reader users can understand what
the list of avatars means.
This commit introduces a new use_polymorphic_bookmarks site setting
that is default false and hidden, that will be used to help continuous
development of polymorphic bookmarks. This setting **should not** be
enabled anywhere in production yet, it is purely for local development.
This commit uses the setting to enable create/update/delete actions
for polymorphic bookmarks on the server and client side. The bookmark
interactions on topics/posts are all usable. Listing, searching,
sending bookmark reminders, and other edge cases will be handled
in subsequent PRs.
Comprehensive UI tests will be added in the final PR -- we already
have them for regular bookmarks, so it will just be a matter of
changing them to be for polymorphic bookmarks.
Tags (and tag groups) can be configured so that they can only be used in specific categories and (optionally) restrict topics in these categories to be able to add/use only these tags. These restrictions work as expected when a topic is created without going through the review queue; however, if the topic has to be reviewed by a moderator then these restrictions currently aren't checked before the topic is sent to the review queue, but they're checked later when a moderator tries to approve the topic. This is because if a user manages to submit a topic that doesn't meet the restrictions, moderators won't be able to approve and it'll be stuck in the review queue.
This PR prevents topics that don't meet the tags requirements from being sent to the review queue and shows the poster an error message that indicates which tags that cannot be used.

Clicking the Replies cell of a topic in a topics list shows a little
modal with 2 buttons that take you to the first and last posts of the
topic. This modal is currently completely inaccessible to
keyboard/screen reader users because it can't be reached using the
keyboard.
This commit improves the modal so that it traps focus when it's shown
and makes it possible to close the modal using the esc key.
Topics lists like /latest are ordered by last activity date by default,
but the order can be changed (and reversed) to something else such as
replies count and views count by clicking on the corresponding column
header in the topics list. These column headers are tabbable, but screen
readers announce them as, using the replies column as example, `Replies
toggle button`. This doesn't communicate very well that this the button
changes the order, so this commit adds `aria-label`s to all column
headers to make it clear that they change order. The current copy for
the `aria-label` is `Sort by replies`.
Previously, if an admin user tried to add/remove
users to another user's ignored list, it would
be added to their own ignore list because the
controller used current_user. Now for admins only
a source_user_id parameter can be passed through,
which will be used to ignore the target user for
that source user.
The user can select what happens with a bookamrk after it expires. New
option allow bookmark's reminder to be kept even after it has expired.
After a bookmark's reminder notification is created, the reminder date
will be highlighted in red until the user resets the reminder date.
User can do that using the new Clear Reminder button from the dropdown.
When creating files with create-multipart, if the file
size was somehow zero we were showing a very unhelpful
error message to the user. Now we show a nicer message,
and proactively don't call the API if we know the file
size is 0 bytes in JS, along with extra console logging
to help with debugging.
This change adds support for the categories endpoint to have an api
scope. Only adds GET scope for listing categories and for fetching a
single category.

This PR adds an extra description to the 2FA page when granting a user admin access. It also introduces a general system for adding customized descriptions that can be used by future actions.

This feature was rarely used, could be used for spamming users and was
impossible to add a context to why the user was notified of a topic. A
simple private messages that includes the link and personalized message
can be used instead.
This commit extends the original copy-codeblocks initializer,
renaming it to codeblock-buttons, and adding another button
to make the code block fullscreen in a modal window. The fullscreen
code is then run through highlight.js.
This commit also moves much of the code out of the initializer
and into a reusable CodeblockButtons class, so it can also be used
in the fullscreen code modal for the copy + paste button.
The fullscreen button will not be shown if there is no scroll overflow
in the code block, nor will it be shown on mobile. This commit also
changes the fullscreen table button to not show on mobile.
This will make long lines of code much easier to read and interact
with. This is gated behind the same `show_copy_button_on_codeblocks`
site setting.
* FEATURE: upload an avatar option for uploading avatars with selectable avatars
Allow staff or users at or above a trust level to upload avatars even when the site
has selectable avatars enabled.
Everyone can still pick from the list of avatars. The option to upload is shown
below the selectable avatar list.

Similar site settings exist for likes and edits and the new ones work
in a similar way.
By default, users below TL2 have a limit of 20, the limit is increased
by 1.5 for TL2 users up to 30, by 2 for TL3 users up to 40 and by 3 for
TL4 users up to 60.
2FA support in Discourse was added and grown gradually over the years: we first
added support for TOTP for logins, then we implemented backup codes, and last
but not least, security keys. 2FA usage was initially limited to logging in,
but it has been expanded and we now require 2FA for risky actions such as
adding a new admin to the site.
As a result of this gradual growth of the 2FA system, technical debt has
accumulated to the point where it has become difficult to require 2FA for more
actions. We now have 5 different 2FA UI implementations and each one has to
support all 3 2FA methods (TOTP, backup codes, and security keys) which makes
it difficult to maintain a consistent UX for these different implementations.
Moreover, there is a lot of repeated logic in the server-side code behind these
5 UI implementations which hinders maintainability even more.
This commit is the first step towards repaying the technical debt: it builds a
system that centralizes as much as possible of the 2FA server-side logic and
UI. The 2 main components of this system are:
1. A dedicated page for 2FA with support for all 3 methods.
2. A reusable server-side class that centralizes the 2FA logic (the
`SecondFactor::AuthManager` class).
From a top-level view, the 2FA flow in this new system looks like this:
1. User initiates an action that requires 2FA;
2. Server is aware that 2FA is required for this action, so it redirects the
user to the 2FA page if the user has a 2FA method, otherwise the action is
performed.
3. User submits the 2FA form on the page;
4. Server validates the 2FA and if it's successful, the action is performed and
the user is redirected to the previous page.
A more technically-detailed explanation/documentation of the new system is
available as a comment at the top of the `lib/second_factor/auth_manager.rb`
file. Please note that the details are not set in stone and will likely change
in the future, so please don't use the system in your plugins yet.
Since this is a new system that needs to be tested, we've decided to migrate
only the 2FA for adding a new admin to the new system at this time (in this
commit). Our plan is to gradually migrate the remaining 2FA implementations to
the new system.

Assuming `SiteSetting.slug_generation_method == 'ascii'.
If the user provides a slug containing non-ascii characters while
creating the category, the user will receive a 404 error just
after saving the category since the slug will be escaped anyway but
Category.find_by_slug_path won't escape the category slug
causing the Edit Page of the category to be inaccessible.
This commit checks the provided slug and raises an error if the
provided slugcontains non-ascii characters ensuring that the
provided value is consistent with the site settings.
It also changes Category.find_by_slug_path to always escape the slug,
since if present, it is escaped anyway in Category.ensure_slug to
prevent the 404 in the Edit Category Page in case the user already
have some category with a non-ascii slug.
* Removed trailing whitespace
This can happen if the topic to which a user is invited is in a private
category and the user was not invited to one of the groups that can see
that specific category.
This used to be a warning and this commit makes it an error.

This commit allows group SMTP emails to be sent with a
different from email address that has been set up as an
alias in the email provider. Emails from the alias will
be grouped correctly using Message-IDs in the mail client,
and replies to the alias go into the correct group inbox.

## Updates to rate_limiter
When limiting reinvites I found that **staff** are never limited in any way. So I updated the **rate_limiter** model to allow for a few things:
- add an optional param of `staff_limit`, which (when included and passed values, and the user passes `.staff?`) will override the default `max` & `secs` values and apply them to the user.
- in the case you **do** pass values to `staff_limit` but the user **does not** pass `staff?` the standard `max` & `secs` values will be applied to the user.
This should give us enough flexibility to
1. continue to apply a strict rate limit to a standard user
2. but also apply a secondary (less strict) limit to staff
This commit adds a hover effect for drag and drop in
the admin emoji uploader. It also changes the "Add New
Emoji" button to open the file selector; previously it
was useless because it was disabled unless a name was
entered (which is not even a requirement for the emoji)
and also it didn't actually do anything on click even
if it wasn't disabled.
Now we have a way of adding files without having to drag
and drop them, which is nice.
Also in this PR, there was no indication before that the upload was
complete apart from the button becoming enabled again.
This commit adds the highlight class to the emoji list
and removes it once the highlight fade animation is done,
like we do for new posts.
An admin could search for all screened ip addresses in a block by
using wildcards. 192.168.* returned all IPs in range 192.168.0.0/16.
This feature allows admins to search for a single IP address in all
screened IP blocks. 192.168.0.1 returns all IP blocks that match it,
for example 192.168.0.0/16.

The new warnings cover more cases and more accurate. Most of the
warnings will be visible only to staff members because otherwise they
would leak information about user's preferences.
If a theme/plugin raises an error while decorating post content, the decorator will be skipped, and the error reported on the console. Additionally, administrators will be shown a red warning at the top of the screen.
This commit refactors and re-uses some of the logic from the theme-initializer-error-reporting logic. In future, new error reports can be added by doing something like:

credentials of groups with SMTP or IMAP enabled. If any issues
are found with those credentials a high priority problem is added to the
admin dashboard.
This commit also formats the admin dashboard differently if
there are high priority problems, bringing them to the top of
the list and highlighting them.
The problem will be cleared if the issue is fixed before the next
problem check, or if the group's settings are updated with a valid
credential.

We send the reminder using the GroupMessage class, which supports removing previous messages. We can't match them by raw because they could mention different moderators. Also, I had to change the subject to remove dynamically generated values, which is necessary for finding them.
This commit introduces a new site setting "google_oauth2_hd_groups". If enabled, group information will be fetched from Google during authentication, and stored in the Discourse database. These 'associated groups' can be connected to a Discourse group via the "Membership" tab of the group preferences UI.
The majority of the implementation is generic, so we will be able to add support to more authentication methods in the near future.

We don't need it anymore. Actually, I removed using of it on the client side a long time ago, when I was working on improving blank page syndrome on user activity pages (see https://github.com/discourse/discourse/pull/14311).
This PR also removes some old resource strings that we don't use anymore. We have new strings for blank pages.
We have a couple of site setting, `slow_down_crawler_user_agents` and `slow_down_crawler_rate`, that are meant to allow site owners to signal to specific crawlers that they're crawling the site too aggressively and that they should slow down.
When a crawler is added to the `slow_down_crawler_user_agents` setting, Discourse currently adds a `Crawl-delay` directive for that crawler in `/robots.txt`. Unfortunately, many crawlers don't support the `Crawl-delay` directive in `/robots.txt` which leaves the site owners no options if a crawler is crawling the site too aggressively.
This PR replaces the `Crawl-delay` directive with proper rate limiting for crawlers added to the `slow_down_crawler_user_agents` list. On every request made by a non-logged in user, Discourse will check the User Agent string and if it contains one of the values of the `slow_down_crawler_user_agents` list, Discourse will only allow 1 request every N seconds for that User Agent (N is the value of the `slow_down_crawler_rate` setting) and the rest of requests made within the same interval will get a 429 response.
The `slow_down_crawler_user_agents` setting becomes quite dangerous with this PR since it could rate limit lots if not all of anonymous traffic if the setting is not used appropriately. So to protect against this scenario, we've added a couple of new validations to the setting when it's changed:
1) each value added to setting must 3 characters or longer
2) each value cannot be a substring of tokens found in popular browser User Agent. The current list of prohibited values is: apple, windows, linux, ubuntu, gecko, firefox, chrome, safari, applewebkit, webkit, mozilla, macintosh, khtml, intel, osx, os x, iphone, ipad and mac.
Currently when a user creates posts that are moderated (for whatever
reason), a popup is displayed saying the post needs approval and the
total number of the user’s pending posts. But then this piece of
information is kind of lost and there is nowhere for the user to know
what are their pending posts or how many there are.
This patch solves this issue by adding a new “Pending” section to the
user’s activity page when there are some pending posts to display. When
there are none, then the “Pending” section isn’t displayed at all.
When this setting is turned on, it will check that normalized emails
are unique. Normalized emails are emails without any dots or plus
aliases.
This setting can be used to block use of aliases of the same email
address.
Use @here to mention all users that were allowed to topic directly or
through group, who liked topics or read the topic. Only first 10 users
will be notified.
When rendering the markdown code blocks we replace the
offending characters in the output string with spans highlighting a textual
representation of the character, along with a title attribute with
information about why the character was highlighted.
The list of characters stripped by this fix, which are the bidirectional
characters considered relevant, are:

There were two controls in the create invite modal. One was a static

other one was a datetime selector that set the time the invite expires.

when the invite expires.

This commit changes the emoji uploader to use the UppyUploadMixin,
and makes some minor changes to the emoji uploader (tightening the
copy for drag and drop and adding a percentage for the upload).
Since no other uppy upload mixin components have needed to upload
multiple files so far, this necessitated adding a tracker for the
in progress uploads so we know when to reset the uploader once all
uploads are complete.
At the moment, the emoji uploader cannot be used for direct S3 uploads
because the admin emoji controller creates other records and does other
magic with the emojis. At some point we need to factor this kind of thing
into the ExternalUploadManager.transform! action to complete external
uploads.

This commit makes the following change to the Edit Bookmark
modal window for clarity:
* If the user is editing an existing bookmark without a reminder set,
hide the "none needed" option. This will draw more attention to the
delete button.
* If the user is editing an existing bookmark with a reminder set for the
future, change the "none needed" option to say "remove reminder, keep bookmark"
To do this, I needed to provide an option to override the labels
for time shortcuts in certain cases, so I could keep the NONE shortcut
but have the different wording.
Sometimes administrators want to permanently delete posts and topics
from the database. To make sure that this is done for a good reasons,
administrators can do this only after one minute has passed since the
post was deleted or immediately if another administrator does it.

This approach uses the global `e`/`q` shortcuts, rather than shifting focus to the `quote-button` component. The current `quoteState` is used to determine whether the quote-button is currently visible. If yes, an appEvent transmits the intention to the quote-button component. If no, the old behavior is maintained.

We aren't translating these settings, so it makes more sense to move them into the code. I added an instance method so plugins can add mappings for custom reasons.
It allows saving local date to calendar.
Modal is giving option to pick between ics and google. User choice can be remembered as a default for the next actions.
We relied on backticks to identify and replace site setting names with links. Unfortunately, some translations don't follow this convention, breaking this feature.
Additionally, this lets us linkify `category settings` and `watched words` without using HTML in the translations.
You may notice that I split the texts we want to linkify into two groups. I did this on purpose to emphasize those that should be translated (regular_links) from those who don't (site_settings_link). If you can think of a better solution, I'm open to suggestions.
The all inboxes was introduced in
016efeadf6 but we decided to roll it back
for performance reasons. The main performance challenge here is that PG
has to basically loop through all the PMs that a user is allowed to view
before being able to order by `Topic#bumped_at`. The all inboxes was not
planned as part of the new/unread filter so we've decided not to tackle
the performance issue for the upcoming release.
Follow-up to 016efeadf6
The file size error messages for max_image_size_kb and
max_attachment_size_kb are shown to the user in the KB
format, regardless of how large the limit is. Since we
are going to support uploading much larger files soon,
this KB-based limit soon becomes unfriendly to the end
user.
For example, if the max attachment size is set to 512000
KB, this is what the user sees:
> Sorry, the file you are trying to upload is too big (maximum
size is 512000KB)
This makes the user do math. In almost all file explorers that
a regular user would be familiar width, the file size is shown
in a format based on the maximum increment (e.g. KB, MB, GB).
This commit changes the behaviour to output a humanized file size
instead of the raw KB. For the above example, it would now say:
> Sorry, the file you are trying to upload is too big (maximum
size is 512 MB)
This humanization also handles decimals, e.g. 1536KB = 1.5 MB
Allows creating a bookmark with the `for_topic` flag introduced in d1d2298a4c set to true. This happens when clicking on the Bookmark button in the topic footer when no other posts are bookmarked. In a later PR, when clicking on these topic-level bookmarks the user will be taken to the last unread post in the topic, not the OP. Only the OP can have a topic level bookmark, and users can also make a post-level bookmark on the OP of the topic.
I had to do some pretty heavy refactors because most of the bookmark code in the JS topics controller was centred around instances of Post JS models, but the topic level bookmark is not centred around a post. Some refactors were just for readability as well.
Also removes some missed reminderType code from the purge in 41e19adb0d
We don't need no stinkin' denormalization! This commit ignores
the topic_id column on bookmarks, to be deleted at a later date.
We don't really need this column and it's better to rely on the
post.topic_id as the canonical topic_id for bookmarks, then we
don't need to remember to update both columns if the bookmarked
post moves to another topic.
Administrators can use second factor to confirm granting admin access
without using email. The old method of confirmation via email is still
used as a fallback when second factor is unavailable.
In order to include the new/unread count in the browse more message
under suggested topics, a couple of technical changes have to be made.
1. `PrivateMessageTopicTrackingState` is now auto-injected which is
similar to how it is done for `TopicTrackingState`. This is done so
we don't have to attempt to pass the `PrivateMessageTopicTrackingState`
object multiple levels down into the suggested-topics component. While
the object is auto-injected, we only fetch the initial state and start
tracking when the relevant private messages routes has been hit and only
when a private message's suggested topics is loaded. This is
done as we do not want to add the extra overhead of fetching the inital
state to all page loads but instead wait till the private messages
routes are hit.
2. Previously, we would stop tracking once the `user-private-messages`
route has been deactivated. However, that is not ideal since
navigating out of the route and back means we send an API call to the
server each time. Since `PrivateMessageTopicTrackingState` is kept in
sync cheaply via messageBus, we can just continue to track the state
even if the user has navigated away from the relevant stages.
Improves the create account modal for screen readers by doing the following:
* Making the `modal-alert` section into an `aria-role="alert"` region and making it show and hide using height instead of display:none so screen readers pick it up. Made a change so the field-related error messages are always shown beneath the field.
* Add `aria-invalid` and `aria-describedby` attributes to each field in the modal, so the screen reader will read out the error hint on error. This necessitated an Ember component extension to allow both the `aria-*` attributes to be bound and to render on `{{input}}`.

There are certain design decisions that were made in this commit.
Private messages implements its own version of topic tracking state because there are significant differences between regular and private_message topics. Regular topics have to track categories and tags while private messages do not. It is much easier to design the new topic tracking state if we maintain two different classes, instead of trying to mash this two worlds together.
One MessageBus channel per user and one MessageBus channel per group. This allows each user and each group to have their own channel backlog instead of having one global channel which requires the client to filter away unrelated messages.
This pull request introduces the endpoints required, and the JavaScript functionality in the `ComposerUppyUpload` mixin, for direct S3 multipart uploads. There are four new endpoints in the uploads controller:
* `create-multipart.json` - Creates the multipart upload in S3 along with an `ExternalUploadStub` record, storing information about the file in the same way as `generate-presigned-put.json` does for regular direct S3 uploads
* `batch-presign-multipart-parts.json` - Takes a list of part numbers and the unique identifier for an `ExternalUploadStub` record, and generates the presigned URLs for those parts if the multipart upload still exists and if the user has permission to access that upload
* `complete-multipart.json` - Completes the multipart upload in S3. Needs the full list of part numbers and their associated ETags which are returned when the part is uploaded to the presigned URL above. Only works if the user has permission to access the associated `ExternalUploadStub` record and the multipart upload still exists.
After we confirm the upload is complete in S3, we go through the regular `UploadCreator` flow, the same as `complete-external-upload.json`, and promote the temporary upload S3 into a full `Upload` record, moving it to its final destination.
* `abort-multipart.json` - Aborts the multipart upload on S3 and destroys the `ExternalUploadStub` record if the user has permission to access that upload.
Also added are a few new columns to `ExternalUploadStub`:
* multipart - Whether or not this is a multipart upload
* external_upload_identifier - The "upload ID" for an S3 multipart upload
* filesize - The size of the file when the `create-multipart.json` or `generate-presigned-put.json` is called. This is used for validation.
When the user completes a direct S3 upload, either regular or multipart, we take the `filesize` that was captured when the `ExternalUploadStub` was first created and compare it with the final `Content-Length` size of the file where it is stored in S3. Then, if the two do not match, we throw an error, delete the file on S3, and ban the user from uploading files for N (default 5) minutes. This would only happen if the user uploads a different file than what they first specified, or in the case of multipart uploads uploaded larger chunks than needed. This is done to prevent abuse of S3 storage by bad actors.
Also included in this PR is an update to vendor/uppy.js. This has been built locally from the latest uppy source at d613b849a6. This must be done so that I can get my multipart upload changes into Discourse. When the Uppy team cuts a proper release, we can bump the package.json versions instead.
Major changes included:
- better support for screen readers
- trapping focus in modals
- better tabbing order in composer
- alerts on no content found/number of items found
- better autofocus in modals
- mini-tag-chooser is now a multi-select component
- each multi-select-component will now display selection on one row
We've recently added a limit to the posts history modal so it displays the last 100 revisions only for performance reasons. However, the title of the modal now always says `History, last 100 revisions` even when the post has fewer than 100 revisions which can be a bit noisy.
This PR amends the history modal so the title of the modal says `History` when the post's revisions count is ≤100, and `History, last 100 revisions` when it has more >100 revisions.
When a user signs up via an external auth method, a new link is added to the signup modal which allows them to connect an existing Discourse account. This will only happen if:
- There is at least 1 other auth method available
and
- The current auth method permits users to disconnect/reconnect their accounts themselves
This handles a few edge cases which are extremely rare (due to the UI layout), but still technically possible:
- Ensure users are authenticated before attempting association.
- Add a message and logic for when a user already has an association for a given auth provider.
This reverts a part of changes introduced by https://github.com/discourse/discourse/pull/13947
In that PR I:
1. Disallowed topic feature links for TL-0 users
2. Additionally, disallowed just putting any URL in topic titles for TL-0 users
Actually, we don't need the second part. It introduced unnecessary complexity for no good reason. In fact, it tries to do the job that anti-spam plugins (like Akismet plugin) should be doing.
This PR reverts this second change.
This disallows putting URLs in topic titles for TL0 users, which means that:
If a TL-0 user puts a link into the title, a topic featured link won't be generated (as if it was disabled in the site settings)
Server methods for creating and updating topics will be refusing featured links when they are called by TL-0 users
TL-0 users won't be able to put any link into the topic title. For example, the title "Hey, take a look at https://my-site.com" will be rejected.
Also, it improves a bit server behavior when creating or updating feature links on topics in the categories with disabled featured links. Before the server just silently ignored a featured link field that was passed to him, now it will be returning 422 response.
Discourse automatically sends a private message after backup or
restore finished. The private message used to contain the log inline
even when it was very long. A very long log can create issues because
the length of the post will be over the maximum allowed length of a
post. When that happens, Discourse will try to create an upload with
the logs. If that fails, it will trim the log and inline it.
This adds a few different things to allow for direct S3 uploads using uppy. **These changes are still not the default.** There are hidden `enable_experimental_image_uploader` and `enable_direct_s3_uploads` settings that must be turned on for any of this code to be used, and even if they are turned on only the User Card Background for the user profile actually uses uppy-image-uploader.
A new `ExternalUploadStub` model and database table is introduced in this pull request. This is used to keep track of uploads that are uploaded to a temporary location in S3 with the direct to S3 code, and they are eventually deleted a) when the direct upload is completed and b) after a certain time period of not being used.
### Starting a direct S3 upload
When an S3 direct upload is initiated with uppy, we first request a presigned PUT URL from the new `generate-presigned-put` endpoint in `UploadsController`. This generates an S3 key in the `temp` folder inside the correct bucket path, along with any metadata from the clientside (e.g. the SHA1 checksum described below). This will also create an `ExternalUploadStub` and store the details of the temp object key and the file being uploaded.
Once the clientside has this URL, uppy will upload the file direct to S3 using the presigned URL. Once the upload is complete we go to the next stage.
### Completing a direct S3 upload
Once the upload to S3 is done we call the new `complete-external-upload` route with the unique identifier of the `ExternalUploadStub` created earlier. Only the user who made the stub can complete the external upload. One of two paths is followed via the `ExternalUploadManager`.
1. If the object in S3 is too large (currently 100mb defined by `ExternalUploadManager::DOWNLOAD_LIMIT`) we do not download and generate the SHA1 for that file. Instead we create the `Upload` record via `UploadCreator` and simply copy it to its final destination on S3 then delete the initial temp file. Several modifications to `UploadCreator` have been made to accommodate this.
2. If the object in S3 is small enough, we download it. When the temporary S3 file is downloaded, we compare the SHA1 checksum generated by the browser with the actual SHA1 checksum of the file generated by ruby. The browser SHA1 checksum is stored on the object in S3 with metadata, and is generated via the `UppyChecksum` plugin. Keep in mind that some browsers will not generate this due to compatibility or other issues.
We then follow the normal `UploadCreator` path with one exception. To cut down on having to re-upload the file again, if there are no changes (such as resizing etc) to the file in `UploadCreator` we follow the same copy + delete temp path that we do for files that are too large.
3. Finally we return the serialized upload record back to the client
There are several errors that could happen that are handled by `UploadsController` as well.
Also in this PR is some refactoring of `displayErrorForUpload` to handle both uppy and jquery file uploader errors.
This commit adds the number of drafts a user has next to the "Draft"
label in the user preferences menu and activity tab. The count is
updated via MessageBus when a draft is created or destroyed.
Using an invalid value was allowed. This commit tries to automatically
fix the color by adding missing # symbol or will show an error to the
user if it is not possible and it is not a CSS color either.
When configured, all topics in the category inherits the slow mode
duration from the category's default.
Note that currently there is no way to remove the slow mode from the
topics once it has been set.
When the Forever option is selected for suspending a user, the user is suspended for 1000 years. Without customizing the site’s text, this time period is displayed to the user in the suspension email that is sent to the user, and if the user attempts to log back into the site. Telling someone that they have been suspended for 1000 years seems likely to come across as a bad attempt at humour.
This PR special case messages when a user suspended or silenced forever.
We now use the group's full name in group SMTP emails, so we are dropping the via #{site_name}. If group owners still want this they can just change the full name of the group.
Configuring staged users to watch categories and tags is a way to sign
them up to get many emails. These emails may be unwanted and get marked
as spam, hurting the site's email deliverability.
Users can opt-in to email notifications by logging on to their
account and configuring their own preferences.
If staff need to be able to configure these preferences on behalf of
staged users, the "allow changing staged user tracking" site setting
can be enabled. Default is to not allow it.

Navigating away from and back to the reviewables reloaded Reviewable
records, but did not clear the "stale" attribute.

When a user acts on a reviewable, all other clients are notified and a
generic "reviewable was resolved by someone" notice was shown instead of
the buttons. There is no need to keep secret the username of the acting
user.
We are trying to not use "private message" in the interface, in favor of "personal message", because of course admins can read all messages so they are not really private unless encrypted messaging is turned on..
Currently when bulk-awarding a badge that can be granted multiple times, users in the CSV file are granted the badge once no matter how many times they're listed in the file and only if they don't have the badge already.
This PR adds a new option to the Badge Bulk Award feature so that it's possible to grant users a badge even if they already have the badge and as many times as they appear in the CSV file.

User flair was given by user's primary group. This PR separates the
two, adds a new field to the user model for flair group ID and users
can select their flair from user preferences now.
Users can invite people to topics from secured category, but they will
not be redirected to the topic after signing up unless they have the
permissions to view the topic. This commit shows a warning when invite
is saved if the topic is in a secured category and none of the invite
groups are allowed to see it.
Skip group SMTP email (and add log) if:
* topic is deleted
* post is deleted
* smtp has been disabled for the group
Skip without log if:
* enable_smtp site setting is false
* disable_emails site setting is yes

This PR changes the order of the topic timer options
into a more logical order when the topic is open/closed.
Also, we are now hiding the "Schedule Publishing" option
if the topic is not a private message or in a private category.
It does not make sense to schedule publishing to a different
category for a public topic.
We want to remove completely our custom modal for uploading files in composer and directly trigger the system file picker.
This PR makes it happen. The fix is pretty simple since we already weren't using our custom modal on mobile. We just need to start using the same hidden <input type="file"> that we already use on mobile.
It seems to be pretty tricky to test opening a system modal so I haven't added new tests. We already have other tests for file uploading though. We directly trigger jquery-File-Upload plugin hooks in those tests - 3dda926cb2/app/assets/javascripts/discourse/tests/acceptance/composer-attachment-test.js (L89).
We changed (https://github.com/discourse/discourse/pull/13407) behaviour of the topic level bookmark button recently. That PR made the button be opening the edit bookmark modal when there is only one bookmark on the topic instead of just removing that bookmark as it was before.
This PR fixes the next problems that weren't taken into account in the previous PR:
1. Everything should work fine even on very big topics when a bookmarked post is unloaded from the post stream. I've added code that loads the post we need and makes everything work as expected
2. When at least one bookmark on the topic has a reminder, we should always be showing the icon with a clock on the topic level bookmark button
3. We should show correct tooltips for the topic level bookmark button

* Add a "please reply above this line" message to sent emails
There is a big difference between regular watched words and regular
expressions and this has been confusing in the past. This notice adds
an explanation.
This commit also reorganizes the code of the test modal.
* FEATURE: Staff can receive pending user reminders more frequently.
We now express the "pending_users_reminder_delay" in minutes instead of hours so staff can have finer control over the delay.
We need to keep in mind that the reminders could still take up to 20 minutes, even when using a lower value. We send them from a scheduled job.
* Migrate to a new site setting for the reminders delay
Add Members could also invite new users via emails, but that was a less
known fact. Splitting the previous modal into two more accessible
modals should make this feature more discoverable.
This was previously broken by 59ef48c0b9 (#11425, #11424).
Centralize the logic into the exception controller, which avoids the problematic bug and makes it easy to add additional detailed 404 pages in the future.
We already reject email replies to public topics via `SiteSetting.disallow_reply_by_email_after_days` and raising the `OldDestinationError`. This PR introduces similar behaviour for group inboxes, but without the rejection, and **only when SMTP is enabled for the group**.
If a reply is sent via email and the post is older than `SiteSetting.disallow_reply_by_email_after_days` days ago, then we create a new topic instead of making a reply in the old one and link back to the original topic. This is done to prevent long running group inbox discussions.
If you click on a bookmark in the post stream you get an Edit Bookmark modal. This does not happen if you click the topic bookmark button.
We want to open the Edit modal too if there is only one bookmark on a topic (it doesn't matter on the first post or not). The other behaviour if there are > 1 bookmarks in the topic is to prompt the user to confirm delete of all the bookmarks in the topic. This behaviour will stay as-is.
I have done some refactoring in this PR, and still, there is a place for improvement. For example, we don't call post.deleteBookmark() method when deleting several bookmarks. I just don't want to refactor too much in one PR.
Adds the last updated at and by SMTP/IMAP fields to the UI, we were already storing them in the DB. Also makes sure that `imap_mailbox_name` being changed makes the last_updated_at/by field update for IMAP.
Subclasses must call #delete_user_actions inside build_actions to support user deletion. The method adds a delete user bundle, which has a delete and a delete + block option. Every subclass is responsible for implementing these actions.
Next Week should mean next Monday, Next Month - the first day of the next month, and so on.
Also, we'll be using the name "Next Monday" instead of "Next Week" because it's easier to understand. No one can get confused by next Monday.
It was not clear that replace watched words can be used to replace text
with URLs. This introduces a new watched word type that makes it easier
to understand.
Refactors `TrustLevel` and moves translations from server to client
Additional changes:
* "staff" and "admin" wasn't translatable in site settings
* it replaces a concatenated string with a translation
* uses translation for trust levels in users_by_trust_level report
* adds a DB migration to rename keys of translation overrides affected by this commit
When a topic is fully merged into another topic we close it. Now we want also to set a timer for deleting this topic. By default, stub topics will be deleted in 7 days. Users can change this period or disable auto-deleting by setting the period to 0.
This overhauls the user interface for the group email settings management, aiming to make it a lot easier to test the settings entered and confirm they are correct before proceeding. We do this by forcing the user to test the settings before they can be saved to the database. It also includes some quality of life improvements around setting up IMAP and SMTP for our first supported provider, GMail. This PR does not remove the old group email config, that will come in a subsequent PR. This is related to https://meta.discourse.org/t/imap-support-for-group-inboxes/160588 so read that if you would like more backstory.
### UI
Both site settings of `enable_imap` and `enable_smtp` must be true to test this. You must enable SMTP first to enable IMAP.
You can prefill the SMTP settings with GMail configuration. To proceed with saving these settings you must test them, which is handled by the EmailSettingsValidator.
If there is an issue with the configuration or credentials a meaningful error message should be shown.
IMAP settings must also be validated when IMAP is enabled, before saving.
When saving IMAP, we fetch the mailboxes for that account and populate them. This mailbox must be selected and saved for IMAP to work (the feature acts as though it is disabled until the mailbox is selected and saved):
### Database & Backend
This adds several columns to the Groups table. The purpose of this change is to make it much more explicit that SMTP/IMAP is enabled for a group, rather than relying on settings not being null. Also included is an UPDATE query to backfill these columns. These columns are automatically filled when updating the group.
For GMail, we now filter the mailboxes returned. This is so users cannot use a mailbox like Sent or Trash for syncing, which would generally be disastrous.
There is a new group endpoint for testing email settings. This may be useful in the future for other places in our UI, at which point it can be extracted to a more generic endpoint or module to be included.
There are two methods which the server uses to verify an invite is being redeemed with a matching email:
1) The email token, supplied via a `?t=` parameter
2) The validity of the email, as provided by the auth provider
Only one of these needs to be true for the invite to be redeemed successfully on the server. The frontend logic was previously only checking (2). This commit updates the frontend logic to match the server.
This commit does not affect the invite redemption logic. It only affects the 'show' endpoint, and the UI.
The previous commits removed reviewables leading to a bad user
experience. This commit updates the status, replaces actions with a
message and greys out the reviewable.
This PR improves the UI of bulk select so that its context is applied to the Dismiss Unread and Dismiss New buttons. Regular users (not just staff) are now able to use topic bulk selection on the /new and /unread routes to perform these dismiss actions more selectively.
For Dismiss Unread, there is a new count in the text of the button and in the modal when one or more topic is selected with the bulk select checkboxes.
For Dismiss New, there is a count in the button text, and we have added functionality to the server side to accept an array of topic ids to dismiss new for, instead of always having to dismiss all new, the same as the bulk dismiss unread functionality. To clean things up, the `DismissTopics` service has been rolled into the `TopicsBulkAction` service.
We now also show the top Dismiss/Dismiss New button based on whether the bottom one is in the viewport, not just based on the topic count.
When slow mode is enabled it's possible to open the slow mode dialog again to disable it or to update slow mode settings. The problem is that in this case, the button for saving still has the label "Enable" which is confusing.
This changes the text on the button from "Enable" to "Update" when slow mode is already enabled.
Based on feedback from Matt Haughey, we don't need to use so many words when describing a deleted topic or post.

It used to allow adding email addresses to a group even if invites were
disabled for the site. This does not allow user to input email address
if they cannot invite.
The second thing this commit improves is the message that is displayed
to the user when they hit the invite rate limit.
We have a few places in the code where we need to validate various email related settings, and will have another soon with the improved group email settings UI. This PR introduces a class which can validate POP3, IMAP, and SMTP credentials and also provide a friendly error message for issues if they must be presented to an end user.
This PR does not change any existing code to use the new service. I have added a TODO to change POP3 validation and the email test rake task to use the new validator post-release.
* FIX: Ensure the same email cannot be invited twice
When creating a new invite with a duplicated email, the old invite will
be updated and returned. When updating an invite with a duplicated email
address, an error will be returned.
* FIX: not Ember helper does not exist
* FIX: Sync can_invite_to_forum? and can_invite_to?
The two methods should perform the same basic set of checks, such as
check must_approve_users site setting.
Ideally, one of the methods would call the other one or be merged and
that will happen in the future.
* FIX: Show invite to group if user is group owner
Currently, when the target is not available we're returning the error message "`You are not permitted to view the requested resource`" which is not clear.
The user may have changed their category or tag tracking settings since a topic was tracked/watched based on those settings in the past. In that case we need to alter the reason message we show them otherwise it is very confusing for the end user to be told they are tracking a topic because of a category, when they are no longer tracking that category.
For example: "You will see a count of new replies because you are tracking this category." becomes: "You will see a count of new replies because you were tracking this category in the past."
To do this, it was necessary to add tag and category tracking info to current user serializer. I improved the serializer code so it only does 3 SQL queries instead of 9 to get the tracking information for tags and categories for the current user.
* FEATURE: add support for like webhooks
Add support for like webhooks. Webhook events only send on user membership
in the defined webhook group filters.
This also fixes group webhook events, as before this was never used, and
the logic was not correct.
This setting allows admin to de/activate automatic trimming of incoming email.
There are instances where it does wonders in trimming all the garbage content and other
instances where it's so bad that it trims the most important part of the email.
FIX: don't remove hidden content using the style attribute when converting HTML to Markdown.
The regexp used was doing more harm than good. It was way too broad.
FIX: properly elide signatures from emails sent with Front App.
This is fairly safe as Front App nicely identifies signatures in the HTML part.
If the "use_site_small_logo_as_system_avatar" setting is enabled, the site's small logo is displayed as the selected option by the avatar-selector. Choosing a different avatar disables the setting.
When the admin creates a new custom field they can specify if that field should be searchable or not.
That setting is taken into consideration for quick search results.
This filter hides reviewables with a score lower than the "reviewable_low_priority_threshold" setting. We only use reviewables that already met this threshold to calculate the Medium and High priority filters.
The old share modal used to host both share and invite functionality,
under two tabs. The new "Share Topic" modal can be used only for
sharing, but has a link to the invite modal.
Among the sharing methods, there is also "Notify" which points out
that existing users will simply be notified (this was not clear
before). Staff members can notify as many users as they want, but
regular users are restricted to one at a time, no more than
max_topic_invitations_per_day. The user will not receive another
notification if they have been notified of the same topic in past hour.
The "Create Invite" modal also suffered some changes: the two radio
boxes for selecting the type (invite or email) have been replaced by a
single checkbox (is email?) and then the two labels about emails have
been replaced by a single one, some fields were reordered and the
advanced options toggle was moved to the bottom right of the modal.
Not all videos can be rendered everywhere because some browser may be
missing some codecs. This commit adds a notice on top of video to let
the user know about it.
The "last custom date and time" shortcut for the topic timer and
bookmarks could get into a state where it had an Invalid Date if
the user opened the topic timer modal, clicked Custom Date and then
closed the modal without making changes. This has been fixed, the
last custom date + time will no longer be set in this case and if
somehow the last custom date + time is invalid that option will not
show.
Also improve the wording from just "Last" to "Last custom datetime"
Previously watched words ignored topic titles when applying auto tagging rules.
Also copy has been improved to reflect how the system behaves.
The text hints that we are only watching first post now
* FEATURE: Review every post using the review queue.
If the `review_every_post` setting is enabled, posts created and edited by regular uses are sent to the review queue so staff can review them. We'll skip PMs and posts created or edited by TL4 or staff users.
Staff can choose to:
- Approve the post (nothing happens)
- Approve and restore the post (if deleted)
- Approve and unhide the post (if hidden)
- Reject and delete it
- Reject and keep deleted (if deleted)
- Reject and suspend the user
- Reject and silence the user

There is a category setting that enforces 1 or more tags must be added to a topic from a specific tag group before creating it. This validation was not being run before the topic was being sent to a review queue for categories that have that setting enabled.
There was an existing validation in `TopicCreator` but it was not correct; it was only validating when the tags did _not_ exist and also only happened on `create`. I now run the validation in `TopicCreator.valid?`
I also improved the error message shown to the user when they have not added the tags required (showing the tag names from the tag group), and changed the composer tag selector to not show "optional" if there are N tags required from a certain group.
The server used to respond with a generic 'error, contact admin' message
which did not offer any hint what the error was. This happened even when
the error could be easily corrected by the user (for example, if they
chose a very common password).
This PR adds a new category setting which is a column in the `categories` table, `allow_unlimited_owner_edits_on_first_post`.
What this does is:
* Inside the `can_edit_post?` method of `PostGuardian`, if the current user editing a post is the owner of the post, it is the first post, and the topic's category has `allow_unlimited_owner_edits_on_first_post`, then we bypass the check for `LimitedEdit#edit_time_limit_expired?` on that post.
* Also, similar to wiki topics, in `PostActionNotifier#after_create_post_revision` we send a notification to all users watching a topic when the OP is edited in a topic with the category setting `allow_unlimited_owner_edits_on_first_post` enabled.
This is useful for forums where there is a Marketplace or similar category, where topics are created and then updated indefinitely by the OP rather than the OP making new topics or additional replies. In a way this acts similar to a wiki that only one person can edit.

* Adds a dismiss `X` button (made sure the click target of this was quite big)

We introduced a cap on the number of bookmarks the user can add in be145ccf2f. However this has caused unintended side effects; when the `jobs/scheduled/bookmark_reminder_notifications.rb` runs we get this error for users who already had more bookmarks than the limit:
> Job exception: Validation failed: Sorry, you have too many bookmarks, visit #{url}/my/activity/bookmarks to remove some.
This is because the `clear_reminder!` call was triggering a bookmark validation, which raised an error because the user already had to many, holding up other reminders.
This PR also adds `max_bookmarks_per_user` hidden site setting (default 2000). This replaces the BOOKMARK_LIMIT const so we can raise it for certain sites.
This moves the "This site was just updated" modal asking the user if they want to refresh into a subtle prompt that slides down from the header.
Also in this PR I've added a helper to publish message bus messages in JS tests. So instead of this:

This feature used to be controlled by two site settings
enable_personal_email_messages and min_trust_to_send_email_messages.
I removed enable_personal_email_messages and unhide
min_trust_to_send_email_messages to simplify the process of
enabling / disabling this feature.
Changing the invite type from link to email and then copying it was
confusing because it gave user the impression that the invite was
updated and the invite link will reflect the latest changes, but it
did not.
If the user has not been sent any messages, show a message in the quick access menu with an educational message. If the user can send private messages, also show a link to open the "new message" composer:
This also adds a general improvement to the quick-access-panel, to be able to show an `emptyStateWidget` instead of just a message if there is nothing to show in the panel, as well as initial general styles for empty state.
Users can now pin bookmarks from their bookmark list. This will anchor the bookmark to the top of the list, and show a pin icon next to it. This also applies in the nav bookmarks panel. If there are multiple pinned bookmarks they sort by last updated order.
We previously included this option conditionally when users were replying
or creating a new topic while they had content already in the composer.
This makes the dialog always include three buttons:
- Close and discard
- Close and save draft for later
- Keed editing
This also changes how the backend notifies the frontend when there is
a current draft topic. This is now sent via the `has_topic_draft`
property in the current user serializer.
This PR allows invitations to be used when the DiscourseConnect SSO is enabled for a site (`enable_discourse_connect`) and local logins are disabled. Previously invites could not be accepted with SSO enabled simply because we did not have the code paths to handle that logic.
The invitation methods that are supported include:
* Inviting people to groups via email address
* Inviting people to topics via email address
* Using invitation links generated by the Invite Users UI in the /my/invited/pending route
The flow works like this:
1. User visits an invite URL
2. The normal invitation validations (redemptions/expiry) happen at that point
3. We store the invite key in a secure session
4. The user clicks "Accept Invitation and Continue" (see below)
5. The user is redirected to /session/sso then to the SSO provider URL then back to /session/sso_login
6. We retrieve the invite based on the invite key in secure session. We revalidate the invitation. We show an error to the user if it is not valid. An additional check here for invites with an email specified is to check the SSO email matches the invite email
7. If the invite is OK we create the user via the normal SSO methods
8. We redeem the invite and activate the user. We clear the invite key in secure session.
9. If the invite had a topic we redirect the user there, otherwise we redirect to /
Note that we decided for SSO-based invites the `must_approve_users` site setting is ignored, because the invite is a form of pre-approval, and because regular non-staff users cannot send out email invites or generally invite to the forum in this case.

Currently the process of adding a custom image to badge is quite clunky; you have to upload your image to a topic, and then copy the image URL and pasting it in a text field. Besides being clucky, if the topic or post that contains the image is deleted, the image will be garbage-collected in a few days and the badge will lose the image because the application is not that the image is referenced by a badge.
This commit improves that by adding a proper image uploader widget for badge images.
This commit extends functionality of the expired invites tab, making
it more similar to the pending tab. It also implements a different
layout for mobile.
Staff can send a post to the review queue by clicking the "Flag Post" button next to "Take Action...". Clicking it flags the post using the "Notify moderators" score type and hides it. A custom message will be sent to the user.

Prior to this change, we had weights for very_high, high, low and
very_low. This means there were 4 weights to tweak and what weights to
use for `very_high/high` and `very_low/low` pair was hard to explain.
This change makes it such that `very_high` search priority will always
ensure that the posts are ranked at the top while `very_low` search
priority will ensure that the posts are ranked at the very bottom.

I made some adjustments to the invite system copy, to reflect the mockups at https://meta.discourse.org/t/improve-invite-system/173756 - the goal is to try to reduce the number of words and make it as simple as possible, similar to discord.
The user interface has been reorganized to show email and link invites
in the same screen. Staff has more control over creating and updating
invites. Bulk invite has also been improved with better explanations.
On the server side, many code paths for email and link invites have
been merged to avoid duplicated logic. The API returns better responses
with more appropriate HTTP status codes.

The title attribute has been used to attempt to provide the link with an accessible name, but the value of the title attribute is “view all” for the link in each of the tabs, and so their purpose is not uniquely identified.
This PR adds an edit button to the topic timer info message which opens the modal.
Also, I have cleaned up a few more places where we were referencing "topic status update" which is what these were called prior to being called topic timers.
The category settings for auto-close topic hours has now also been modified to use the new relative-time-picker component.

This PR adds a new relative-time component, that is an input box with a SK dropdown of minutes, hours, days, and months which outputs the duration selected in minutes. This new component is used in the time shortcuts list (used by bookmarks and topic timers) as a new Relative Time shortcut.
Also in this PR, I have made the "Auto-Close After Last Post" timer into a top level timer type in the UI, and removed the "based on last post" custom time shortcut.
* DEV: Show warning message when using ember css selectors
When editing the theme css via the admin UI a warning message
will be displayed if it detects that the `#emberXXX` or `.ember-view`
css selectors are being used. These are dynamic selectors that ember
generates, but they can change so they should not be used.

This allows the theme to still be saved, but a warning is displayed.
Updated the tests to check for the error message.

This commit adjusts the scroll gradient on the login modal, changes `email / username` to `Email / Username` and adjusts the color of social button icons on hover in the login modal.
The 'Discourse SSO' protocol is being rebranded to DiscourseConnect. This should help to reduce confusion when 'SSO' is used in the generic sense.
This commit aims to:
- Rename `sso_` site settings. DiscourseConnect specific ones are prefixed `discourse_connect_`. Generic settings are prefixed `auth_`
- Add (server-side-only) backwards compatibility for the old setting names, with deprecation notices
- Copy `site_settings` database records to the new names
- Rename relevant translation keys
- Update relevant translations
This commit does **not** aim to:
- Rename any Ruby classes or methods. This might be done in a future commit
- Change any URLs. This would break existing integrations
- Make any changes to the protocol. This would break existing integrations
- Change any functionality. Further normalization across DiscourseConnect and other auth methods will be done separately
The risks are:
- There is no backwards compatibility for site settings on the client-side. Accessing auth-related site settings in Javascript is fairly rare, and an error on the client side would not be security-critical.
- If a plugin is monkey-patching parts of the auth process, changes to locale keys could cause broken error messages. This should also be unlikely. The old site setting names remain functional, so security-related overrides will remain working.
A follow-up commit will be made with a post-deploy migration to delete the old `site_settings` rows.
`emailOrUsername` was renamed to `invitee` in a recent change to app/assets/javascripts/discourse/app/components/invite-panel.js and needed to be updated in client.en.yml

Inviting people via email address to a group when SSO is enabled (or local logins are disabled) led to a situation where user records were being created bypassing single sign-on.
We already prevent that in most places. This adds required checks to `GroupsController`.
This pull requests contains a series of improvements to groups
settings and member management such as:
- Showing which users have set a group as primary
- Moving similar settings together under Effects
- Adding bulk select and actions to members page
This PR revamps the topic timer UI, using the time shortcut selector from the bookmark modal.
* Fixes an issue where the duration of hours/days after last reply or auto delete replies was not enforced to be > 0
* Fixed an issue where the timer dropdown options were not reloaded correctly if the topic status changes in the background (use `MessageBus` to publish topic state in the open/close timer jobs)
* Moved the duration input and the "based on last post" option from the `future-date-input` component, as it was only used for topic timers. Also moved out the notice that is displayed which was also only relevant for topic timers.
Disabling shared drafts used to leave topics in an inconsistent state
where they were not displayed as shared drafts and thus there was no
way of publishing them. Moreover, they were accessible just to users
who have permissions to create shared drafts.
This commit adds another permission check that is used for most
operations and the old can_create_shared_draft? remains used just when
creating a new shared draft.
This PR is the first step towards replacing our `{{user-selector}}` and eventually deprecating and removing it from our codebase. Some of `{{user-selector}}` problems are:
1. It's called `{{user-selector}}`, but in reality in can also select groups and emails.
2. It's an Ember component, yet it doesn't have a handlebars template and uses jQuery to render itself and modify the DOM. An example of this problem is when you want to clear the selected users programmatically, see [this](6c155dba77/app/assets/javascripts/discourse/app/components/user-selector.js (L179-L185)).
3. We now have select kit which does very similar things but a lot better.
This PR introduces `{{email-group-user-chooser}}` which is meant to replace `{{user-selector}}`. It extends select kit and has the same features that `{{user-selector}}` has. `{{user-selector}}` is still used in a few places in core, but they'll all be replaced with the new component in a separate commit.
Once `{{user-selector}}` is not used anywhere in core, it'll be deprecated and then removed after the 2.7 release.
This PR moves all of the time picking functionality from the bookmark modal and controller into a reusable time-shortcut-picker component, which will be used for the topic timer UI revamp. All of the utility JS for getting dates like tomorrow/next week/next month etc. have also been moved into a separate utility lib.
The time-shortcut-picker has a couple of options that can be passed in:
* prefilledDatetime - The date and time to parse and prefill into the custom date and time section, useful for editing interfaces.
* onTimeSelected (callback) - Called when one of the time shortcuts is clicked, and passes the type of the shortcut (e.g. tomorrow) and the datetime selected.
* additionalOptionsToShow - An array of option ids to show (by default `later_today` and `later_this_week` are hidden)
* hiddenOptions - An array of option ids to hide
* customOptions - An array of custom options to display (e.g. the option to select a post date for the bookmarks modal). The options should have the below properties:
* id
* icon
* label (I18n key)
* time (moment datetime object)
* timeFormatted
* hidden
The other major work in this PR is moving all of the bookmark functionality out of the bookmark modal controller and into its own component, where it makes more sense to be able to access elements on the page via `document`. Tests have been added to accompany this move, and existing acceptance tests for bookmark are all passing.
